Dallas announced Wednesday that safety Jalen Thompson and defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard have been placed on injured reserve.
Each will sit out a minimum of four contests.
Thompson’s hamstring could linger beyond that span, while Bullard, who battled a groin issue in camp, now faces a calf problem.
The secondary isn’t spared—Malik Hooker missed the last two games with a fractured forearm, and P.J. Locke is already on IR with a foot injury.
Cornerbacks Shavon Revel (knee/ankle) and Cobie Durant (hamstring) are also listed as out.
Signing DT Elijah Garcia to the active roster feels like a smart stopgap, and adding DBs Alex Austin, Tyrek Funderburk and Juanyeh Thomas to the practice squad bolsters depth. Can this influx keep the defense competitive through the season?
