The Trail Blazers have added free‑agent swingman Jaylen Martin on a non‑guaranteed Exhibit‑10, and he’ll report to training camp Wednesday, reports Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.
The 22‑year‑old, a 6‑foot‑6 wing who went undrafted in 2023 after Overtime Elite, logged 16 NBA regular‑season games for Brooklyn and Washington in 2024‑25, spending most of the last three seasons in the G League.
Last season he split 39 games between the Delaware Blue Coats and the Rip City Remix, posting 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.4 minutes, shooting .549/.250/.656.
Portland entered the day with two spots open on its 21‑man preseason roster, so no roster move was needed to accommodate Martin. The squad now lists 20 contracts: 12 guaranteed, three two‑way and the new Exhibit‑10.
Freeman expects Martin to head back to the Remix this fall; his Exhibit‑10 makes him eligible for a bonus up to $91K atop his NBAGL salary if he logs at least 60 days with Rip City. For my money, that bonus could sweeten his G‑League grind.
