In Sunday’s defeat to the Bills, both starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley left the field, prompting Baltimore to seek another quarterback.
The team confirmed today that veteran passer Austin Reed has joined the practice squad.
Reed, 26, previously saw action in the UFL with the Dallas Renegades and participated in the Ravens’ training camp earlier this year.
He also worked with offensive coordinator Declan Doyle back in 2025 when Doyle was on Chicago’s staff; for my money, that connection could be a boost.
Third‑string QB Joe Fagnano is slated to start Thursday’s clash with Jacksonville, as Jackson’s season looks doubtful and Huntley battles turf toe.
Fagnano’s debut saw him finish 10‑of‑21 for 91 yards and an interception in the loss to Buffalo.
To make room for Reed, the Ravens cut fullback Lucas Scott; will this move give the squad the depth it needs?
