Naples, Oct 10 – McTominay chats with manager Allegri after being subbed off.
Allegri has unveiled a 20‑player list for Tuesday’s Champions League showdown at the Maradona, a chance to revive his tenure.
Napoli sit winless in Europe, dropping 1‑0 to Arsenal at home and 3‑1 away to Villarreal.
Their league form mirrors the slump, with only 10 points from seven matches and a 1‑0 loss to zero‑point Venezia.
Having lost five of his first nine fixtures, Allegri now needs a boost from Bodo/Glimt. In my view, this fixture could be the turning point for Allegri.
Injuries still bite: Buongiorno, Favasuli, Vergara and Neres miss out, and Alisson Santos faces another hamstring layoff.
Allegri appears set for a back four, swapping last weekend’s back three, while Hojlund is likely to return as centre‑forward after the failed experiment with Giovane and Lucca.
Kick‑off is scheduled for 20:00 BST.
Confirmed Napoli squad versus Bodo/Glimt.
Goalkeepers: Contini, Meret, Milinkovic‑Savic.
Defenders: Badiashile, Beukema, Di Lorenzo, Rafa Marin, Olivera, Rrahmani, Spinazzola.
Midfielders: Anguissa, De Bruyne, Gilmour, Lobotka, McTominay.
Forwards: Giovane, Hojlund, Lang, Lucca, Politano.
