The third round selected by the previous regime, Robinson’s career in DC was delayed by gunshot wounds before his rookie which caused him to miss four games. Over three seasons, he has produced 2,329 rush meters and 15 contact surfaces on 570 wagons and never top 800 meters per season.
Trade would probably not deliver much draft funding at this stage, as the choice of second round or alternative was the most likely result in any swap. It is unclear whether the commanders would consider cutting Robinson if business is not realized.
Given the risk of injury, it is understandable why both sides agreed that Robinson should sit out on Monday.
Behind Robinson, who entered the camps nominated, have the commanders Austin Ekeler, who is unlikely to be a working horse at this stage of his career. Seventh player Jacory Crokey-Merritt has reportedly impressed a coach and could make more running if the team continues from Robinson. Chris Rodriguez Jr., Jeremy McNichols, Demetric Felton and Kazmeir Allen bring the depth of the depth ahead of the second game.
