The Rams added kicker Blake Grupe following Week 5 and plan to bring in another kicker after Week 6.
According to Arash Markazi of The Sporting Tribune, Grupe exited SoFi Stadium with a brace and crutches after trying to tackle a kickoff return.
The play was bold, given his listed 5‑7 height and 156 lb frame—perhaps even smaller and lighter in reality.
Either way, the hit likely ends Grupe’s stint with Los Angeles; for my money, the team should revive Harrison Mevis rather than hunt elsewhere.
That isn’t the Rams’ biggest hurdle. Sitting 2‑4 after six games, they edge closer to a loss total that could knock them out of playoff contention.
Will the squad finally heat up and salvage the season?
