Bucs Activate WR David Sills, Start 21-Day Practice Window

Bucs open WR David Sills 21-day return-to-practice windowWill his return spark a deeper receiving corps?

David Sills will be back on the Bucs’ practice field Wednesday.

The team unlocked his 21‑day practice window after a hamstring that sidelined him for five games.

They may move him off IR anytime within that three‑week span.

Tampa Bay began the year with six eligible receivers, but Jalen McMillan landed on IR on Sept. 30 after a knee injury.

Sills signed as a free agent in May, reuniting with former Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson; for my money, his chemistry with Robinson could boost Tampa’s passing attack. He posted career‑best numbers in 2025, catching 18 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

Before that, he logged seasons with the Giants (2021‑22) and Denver (2023), then spent 2024 on the Broncos’ practice squad. In 33 career games, he started 11 and tallied 31 catches for 315 yards and two scores.
