Maccabi Tel Aviv has contacted former lottery pick Killian Hayes about a potential EuroLeague deal, reports Arale Weisberg of Hadisco.
Hayes, a six‑year NBA veteran who finished last season with the Kings, saw Sacramento decline his 2026/27 option in June, turning him into an unrestricted free agent.
In 23 games for Sacramento last year, the French guard logged 5.5 points, 3.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 17.7 minutes per outing. His shooting lingered at .304/.270/.929, a career‑long efficiency issue.
Maccabi is also hunting a guard to replace the injured Gabriel Lundberg, who will miss several weeks with a quad problem, Weisberg adds. For my money, securing a reliable guard now is crucial for Maccabi’s title chase.
Below are additional overseas updates:
- Former NBA guard Brandon Boston Jr. entered free agency earlier this month after Chicago waived him. The 24‑year‑old wing spent last season with Fenerbahçe and now eyes a return to Turkey with Trabzonspor, sources tell Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews.com. Urbonas says Boston attracted EuroLeague interest early in the offseason but favored a possible NBA comeback with the Bulls. Ultimately, he is set to join Trabzonspor, which competes in Turkey’s top league and the Basketball Champions League.
- After announcing his retirement in March, former NBA star center Dwight Howard briefly returned in Georgia for Black Fortress Tbilisi before hanging up his shoes again last week. Askounis reports the story to Eurohoops.
- Serbian club KK Partizan announced on Twitter that it has mutually terminated its deal with former NBA forward Jabari Parker, the No. 2 pick in 2014. Parker signed a two‑year contract in the 2025 offseason but never found his rhythm, averaging 7.7 points on 39.1% shooting across 15 EuroLeague games before finishing the season on loan at Joventut in Spain. Will Parker find a new home where he can finally thrive?
