Roma admit Dybala will sit out Saturday’s clash with Napoli, yet hope the Argentine can feature in Tuesday’s league game versus Cagliari.
Sky Sport Italia reports the latest scans show Dybala’s rehab is on track, bringing his comeback within reach.
Even though he’ll miss tomorrow’s high‑stakes Serie A showdown at the Stadio Maradona, the club is confident the forward will be named for next Tuesday’s home tie with Cagliari.
The calf problem has already cost him the recent Serie A win over Genoa and the Champions League fixture against Slovan Bratislava.
So far this campaign he’s created four goals in eight outings across all competitions.
Roma sit third on 17 points, two shy of leaders Lazio and Inter. They’ve netted 16 times in seven league matches while conceding just three, the league’s stingiest defence. For my money, Roma’s defensive solidity will be the key to pushing for the title.
