Gattuso says he expects honesty from his squad, even after a night out, yet he won’t let anyone sabotage a training drill.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb at his pre‑match press conference, the coach previewed Saturday’s home fixture against Parma as Lazio aim to stay level atop Serie A with Inter.

Since arriving this summer, Gattuso has made it clear that discipline is non‑negotiable.

“I value intellectual honesty,” he asserted. “If a player admits to one too many drinks or a night out, that’s fine—but I won’t let it ruin a session. My office door stays open.”

He also briefed the media on the status of injured squad members, emphasizing patience over risk.

“We hope Albert can run pain‑free within ten days and be match‑ready before Napoli,” Gattuso noted. “If Rovella and Marusić clear their rehab, they’ll join partial training in four or five days and become available.”

Both have missed several weeks, and the medical team confirmed they’ll also sit out next week’s trip to Sassuolo.

Lazio ride the momentum of a 3‑0 victory over Juventus, but Gattuso warns against any complacency facing Alberto Gilardino’s Parma.

“Slip up and Parma will hand us a memorable drubbing,” he cautioned.
