The Bills could introduce one of their two practice squad members in Mecole Hardman and Stephen Gosnell or look elsewhere for reinforcements. Hardman has already been promoted to the active roster this season and appeared in a win over Tampa Bay before a calf injury forced him to spend a month on injured reserve. He returned to the field for another game just before Christmas and played two special teams snaps against Cleveland before being released by the Bills on December 27th.
Buffalo re-signed him to the practice squad on Dec. 30, where he has remained since then. Hardman has extensive postseason experience from six seasons in Kansas City — including catching the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII — making him the most logical replacement for the Bills in their current predicament.
