John Harbaugh’s search for a new gig begins in earnest this week.
His first known stop: Atlanta Falcons.
The former Ravens coach interviewed with the Falcons on Monday, the team announced. This is the first reported interview with Harbaugh this cycle.
Harbaugh, possibly the top head coaching candidate, is expected to be quite popular this round, also likely ahead of interest from the Miami Dolphins, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans, NFL Networks insider Tom Pelissero reported Sunday.
“The Giants have been aggressively recruiting Harbaugh since the Ravens fired him on Tuesday,” Pelissero said. NFL GameDay Morning. “The Falcons are the only team that doesn’t have a GM in place, which could allow Harbaugh to bring in his pick.”
“The Dolphins are interested, although they have already hired a GM who has no ties to John Harbaugh.”
“Don’t count out the Titans, who have plenty of capital and a dynamic, young quarterback in Cam Ward to sell potential young prospects.
