The Patriots land in San Jose ahead of Super Bowl LX

The touchdown has occurred a week since Super Bowl LX.

The New England Patriots landed at San José Mineta International Airport on Sunday at 3:51 PM ET, back in the big game for the first time in the post-Tom Brady season. The Seattle Seahawks are expected to come in a few hours behind New England as both teams prepare for a whirlwind week leading up to a Super Bowl game 11 years in the making.

The last time these two clubs faced off with the Lombardi Trophy on the line to end the 2014 season, the Patriots emerged victorious on Malcolm Butler’s iconic goal-line interception, but that was a long time ago. Both clubs have changed a lot since then. New England is now hoping to build the foundation of a brand new dynasty with second-year quarterback Drake Maye, and Seattle has traded in the “Legion of Boom” moniker for its “Dark Side” defense.

If the journeys made over the past decade and changes produce different results this time around, it will mean another Super Bowl victory for the Seahawks franchise. Otherwise, a new generation of Pats will bring their seventh Lombardi Trophy home to New England.

The Seahawks and Patriots kick off Super Bowl LX at 6:30pm ET on Sunday, February 8th.
