Stephen Jones, Cube's CEO, sees plenty of Dez Bryant in the new Wr George Pickens

“Well, first of all, we look at him, there are only two beginners out there, we don’t even think – we think of him as more than two, when we were looking at the contract,” Jones said at the appearance of Mad Dog Sports Radio Siriusxm. “Certainly we looked at the draft of itching, see what might be available in the draft, but here you get a guy who has experience, who has achieved great success in the NFL, obviously a huge competitor.

“And as I said we were looking at the draft as a way to look at that need. When that didn’t happen, you know that we had some opportunities around the league we were looking at, and that at the end of the day made it wise.

Dallas struck the appropriate time to add to the receiver, waited for a relatively weak draft category and then called Steelers to acquire a player that Pittsburgh seemed to be interested in separating ways from making their own business for former Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf. Instead of hoping for the best with newcomers, the cowboys improved the pickens, the highlight of reel filling of a bypass runner that is incredibly talented, but has also gained a reputation for being a creature.

The cowboys are willing to take on all the risks with pickens because of upside down. If it ends by leading the pickens to produce Bryant-like period-75-90 catch, 1,200 plus reception meters, two-digit contact surface-it will be a blessing for Dallas and possibly convince them to work on a long-term contract with Pickens as half of the powerful reception of a Ceedee Lamb.

These are lofty figures that Pickens has only flirted once again in 2023. But the cowboys chase the possibilities within the Pickens with the belief that he only needed a top size (Dak Prescott) and an excellent running company (Lamb) to understand his possibilities. They will test it by 2025.
