American stars lit up Serie A this morning as Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah helped AC Milan edge Atalanta 3-2 on Matchday 7 of the 2026‑27 campaign, pushing the Rossoneri into Champions League spots and tightening the gap to league leaders Inter.
Both men logged 75 minutes at the Giuseppe Meazza, each shaping the 3‑2 triumph. Milan’s rhythm only soured once the U.S. players were swapped out.
Pulisic never shot on target, yet he orchestrated attacks from midfield, completing 86% of his passes (24 of 28) and making 16 carries, four of them progressive, according to Sofascore.

He’s now nearing a month without a goal or assist, his last contribution coming against Lecce on September 20.
Musah: a midfield machine – will his rise push Milan deeper into European competition?
Musah stole the spotlight, delivering a composed midfield display that belied his 23‑year‑old age. For my money, his poise could make him a regular starter.
Sofascore recorded just one misplaced pass out of 56, a 98% accuracy rate, and his passing was flawless in the attacking third.
He also reclaimed possession three times and even tried his luck on goal, rounding off an excellent all‑round effort.
It was only his second outing since the World Cup, but more showings like this could cement his place in Ruben Amorim’s lineup.
The duo will aim to keep Milan climbing the Serie A table while safeguarding their Europa League standing.
Next up, Milan travel to face Bournemouth on Thursday.
