Hansi Flick joins the shortlist for Coach of the Month. After Quique Sánchez Flores captured the award for the opening month thanks to Alavés’s strong start, Flick is back in contention alongside Diego Simeone and Manuel Pellegrini.
Flick and Raphinha aren’t the only hopefuls. In my view, Cancelo’s strike stands out as the most spectacular. Cubarsí vies for the Best Under‑23 award against Zabiri (Racing), Moleiro (Villarreal), Miguel Sierra (Sevilla) and Yoel Lago (Celta). Cancelo is nominated for Goal of the Month for his strike versus Racing, as are Budimir (vs Rayo) and Lucas Boyé (vs Osasuna).
