The Nets confirmed Wednesday they’ve inked forwards Ben Humrichous and Dain Dainja. Sources tell NetsDaily they’ll report to training camp, giving Brooklyn a full 21‑man roster.
Humrichous signed an Exhibit‑10 deal right after going undrafted in June. The 6‑foot‑9 forward finished his college stint as a reserve on Illinois’ Final Four run, falling to UConn. He posted 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds in 22.5 minutes over 37 games, shooting .383/.361/.792.
Twenty‑four‑year‑old Dainja also went undrafted, this time in 2025 out of Memphis, and landed an Exhibit‑10 with Miami last September. He spent camp and preseason with the Heat before being waived and assigned to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the G‑League affiliate.
In Sioux Falls he appeared in 50 contests, averaging 13.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in 21.9 minutes. He shot an efficient 62.3% from the floor, tried only one three‑pointer and hit 52.6% of his free throws.
Both players suited up for Brooklyn’s Summer League squad in July and now look set to join the Long Island Nets this fall. For my money, their size gives the G‑League club a real boost.
If their Exhibit‑10 contracts trigger, they could earn up to $91 K in bonuses on top of standard NBAGL pay after 60 days with Long Island. That would require the Nets to acquire Dainja’s returning rights from the Skyforce. Will the club’s front office make that move?
