Both players equalized with unsportsmanlike penalties and Ramsey was sent off for the final 13 minutes.
Referee Bill Vinovich said in the pool report that Ramsey was ejected for punching Ramsey.
Asked about Ramsey’s accusation, Vinovich said the officials did not see Chase spit on Ramsey.
“Of course we didn’t,” Vinovich said. “We didn’t see anything that rose to that level at all.
The NFL set a precedent for possible punishment for spitting incidents earlier this season when Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter spat on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott before the first play of the 2025 Kickoff game on Sept. 4.
Carter was ejected from the game before playing a single snap. The NFL later announced that Carter had been suspended one game for the incident, but the league believed that his suspension had already been served due to how early in the contest he was ejected.
