Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders sees first NFL action since Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion

Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders sees first NFL action since Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion

The fifth-round pick completed both of his first two pass attempts but was sacked on the last play of his first drive. Sanders’ tough slide continued as he later threw an interception as Cleveland saw a 16-10 halftime lead turn into a 23-16 deficit.

Sanders finished Sunday 4 of 16 passing for 47 yards with one interception and 16 more yards on the ground.

Gabriel went 7-of-10 passing for 68 yards without a touchdown or an interception before exiting.

The Browns (2-8) face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12, which could be Sanders’ first career start if Gabriel doesn’t clear the league’s concussion rules.
