Taylor Moton’s comeback with Carolina was over in minutes.
He landed on injured reserve Monday after a fractured fibula in Sunday’s rout by Tampa Bay. The tackle was in only his second game back from a non‑football injury list that stemmed from off‑season lung blood clots.
First‑round pick Monroe Freeling stepped in at right tackle, and his play shows promise, in my view, for the line.
The team added linebacker Nick Hampton from the practice squad to fill the roster hole, and he logged five tackles in Sunday’s temporary elevation.
