Macdonald says Charbonnet could return this week

Will Charbonnet’s return ignite Seattle’s rushing attack this season?Charbonnet could debut Sunday, with Macdonald promising a week of reps.

Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet may see his first snap of 2026 on Sunday. Could Seattle finally get a fresh burst?

Macdonald said Zach will log a full week’s worth of reps, according to a video shared by Brian Nemhauser of hawkblogger. That’s exciting, and you might spot him on Sunday in some role. In my view, his burst could revitalize Seattle’s offense.

Charbonnet stays on the reserve/physically unable to perform list after tearing his left ACL on his fifth carry during the 2025 divisional playoff round. He had surgery on Feb. 20.

Seattle opened his 21‑day practice window on Oct. 1, meaning the club must promote him to the active roster this week or risk ending his season on PUP.

He posted 730 yards and 12 touchdowns on 184 carries in the 2025 regular season, sharing duties with Kenneth Walker. Walker now dazzles Kansas City after signing with the Chiefs as a free agent.
