Did you hear that Gayle Benson stopped by practice and embraced coach Kellen Moore after warning she won’t tolerate the current play? Moore says they’re on the same page now.
Moore smiled after the session, noting it’s always nice to see Mrs. B pop in. She looks great and remains a steadfast supporter.
He tried to quiet rumors of discord after Benson’s comments on the 1‑4 record, stressing unity between them.
Benson replied that they’ve seen each other all season and appreciated the moments together.
Moore told reporters he’s spoken with Benson since her public remarks about the team’s unacceptable performance and feels confident in their path forward.
We’ve been in touch all week, so everything’s fine, he said. Our shared goal is simple: win games. This week’s practice was a solid step for coaches and players alike.
Now Moore must turn practice energy into victories, or Benson may swap hugs for a pink slip. Will the Saints rise to the challenge?
