Pastorello: Italian clubs courted Inzaghi, he stayed at Al‑H

Did you know Inzaghi’s agent says Italian clubs chased him this summer, yet he had no plans to leave Al‑Hilal?

Via Calciomercato.com, Federico Pastorello told Sportmediaset the former Lazio and Inter boss will reassess his future once the season ends.

Inzaghi departed Inter for Riyadh in June 2025, shortly after a 5‑0 Champions League final loss to PSG. He inked a two‑year contract worth roughly €26 million per season, running to June 2027.

Inzaghi remains a target for Italian clubs each summer

The pull from home remains strong.

“Each summer four or five clubs, including Italian sides, express interest, but no one felt the need to approach him because he simply wants to stay,” Pastorello explained. For my money, his loyalty outweighs any domestic allure.

He spent five years at Lazio, capturing the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa trophies, then moved to Inter in 2021, where he added a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia titles, three Supercoppe and reached two Champions League finals.

Pastorello also handles defender Francesco Acerbi, a free agent since his Inter deal expired in June. The 38‑year‑old featured under Inzaghi at both Lazio and Inter.

“Acerbi is eager to return, but we must locate the right fit—one that matches his talent and stature,” Pastorello said.

Sassuolo and Bologna were linked to Acerbi over the summer, while Atalanta reportedly dismissed a move last month.
