The former Juventus defender stepped onto the training pitch on Tuesday, marking his first grass session since a serious knee injury sidelined him in January.
Signed for €15.5 million last summer, Savona quickly became a regular starter, only to see his 2025‑26 campaign end abruptly after surgery was required.
His last Forest appearance was a 1‑0 Europa League loss to Braga back in January.
Now, the 23‑year‑old is back on the training ground, a fact Forest confirmed in a video posted Tuesday afternoon.
Teammates and coaches escorted him through a gauntlet before breaking into applause – for my money, that moment could spark a surge in Forest’s confidence.
