The Baresi mural outside Casa Milan suffered a second vandalism just over two weeks after it was repaired.

MilanNews24 says black paint obscured the captain’s armband and the Milan crest on his shorts, while Tgcom24 adds that the European Cup he holds aloft was also painted over.

Street artist Luca Rosada, aka Lucas Street Art, painted the tribute in Piazza Gino Valle to honor the former captain who passed away in July at 66.

Baresi mural already defaced in September. Will the club tighten security to protect its icons?

The first attack hit on Sept. 27, when red spray paint covered Baresi’s face; councillor Alessandro Giungi called it a vile, wretched act as authorities began a hunt for the culprits.

Rosada responded by enlarging the work, unveiling a smiling rendition of the legend on Oct. 10.

Milan fans erupted in anger once more over the fresh defacement. The repeated attacks signal a troubling disrespect for the club’s heritage.

The defender spent two decades with the Rossoneri, clinching six Scudetti, three European Cups and retiring his No. 6 jersey in 1997; he also lifted the 1982 World Cup for Italy.
