Napoli’s manager Massimiliano Allegri has been hit with a two‑match ban from Lega Serie A, ruling him out of the upcoming fixtures against Monza and his old side Juventus. The full suspension list after round eight follows.
Allegri and Gaspar receive two‑match bans after Serie A Week 8 – will their teams cope without them?
Round eight of the 2026‑27 Serie A kicked off Friday with Torino edging Monza 3‑2, and wrapped up Sunday as Milan secured a 2‑0 away win over Udinese.
Only one player saw red this weekend: Lecce’s Kiolonda Gaspar, who received a straight red in the final minutes of his side’s 2‑0 loss to Juventus and will miss the next two games.
Italy – Oct 25, 2026: US Lecce’s Kiolonda Gaspar battles Juventus forward Randal Kolo Muani at Stadio Via del Mare. No player has yet hit five yellows for a one‑match ban, though Frosinone’s Gabriele Bracaglia and Cagliari’s Alessandro Deiola each sit on four.
The sole other suspension came from Napoli’s bench, where Allegri was shown red for protesting Leonardo Balerdi’s late equaliser in the 3‑3 draw with Roma. In my view, his outburst crossed the line.
He ripped off his jacket and stormed off, only to return moments later, where staff had to restrain him.
That incident earned him a two‑match ban, meaning he cannot occupy the Napoli dugout for the Monza game or the away fixture at Juventus next weekend.
