Can Boca keep the momentum? The Xeneize heads into the final stretch with decisive ties in the Copa Argentina and Sudamericana, while Rodolfo “Vasco” Arruabarrena’s side still eyes a Clausura playoff spot in 2026.

Boca is chasing three trophies – Copa Argentina, Sudamericana and the Clausura. For my money, clinching all three would be historic.
La Ribera sits third on the annual table, four points shy of leader Independiente Rivadavia’s 51 points. With six rounds left in the Clausura, Boca could clinch the title if it matches the current leader’s tally, but Vélez Sarsfield (48), Argentinos Juniors (47) and Rosario Central (46) remain in contention.
After Racing’s exit at the Gigante de Arroyito and Platense’s semifinal win over Estudiantes, four teams remain in the Copa Argentina. Boca will meet Atlético Tucumán on October 28 to decide the first finalist, and then faces Banfield on November 14, with venues and kick‑offs yet to be announced. The decisive match is slated for Wednesday, December 2, stadium still TBD.
The quest to end the international drought persists in the Sudamericana, where Arruabarrena’s squad goes all‑out. They host Vasco da Gama at La Bombonera on Tuesday, October 13, 21:30, and travel to Brazil a week later for the return leg. The final will be held at Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla on Saturday, November 21, 2026, with CONMEBOL to release times.
