This Sunday Colo Colo Women play their second 2026 Libertadores match, taking on Colombia’s Independiente Santa Fe in Group A.
The Chileans come off a 2‑0 loss to defending champions Corinthians on Thursday in Quito.
Meanwhile the Colombians opened with a 3‑2 victory over Venezuela’s Caracas FC on Friday night.
The four‑time Chilean champions now need a win to stay alive and eye a quarter‑final spot, after last year they reached the last four. For my money, the Chileans must seize the moment.
Coach Tatiele Silveira’s side feels the pressure as they meet the Colombian runners‑up.

What time does the Colo Colo‑Santa Fe showdown start?
The clash takes place Sunday, 18 October, kicking off at 17:00 Chile time at Quito’s Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium.
I expect Chilevisión’s free broadcast will spark greater interest in women’s football across the country.
Chilean viewers can watch it free on open‑air TV via Chilevisión, which also streams the game on its digital platforms.
