Alaric Jackson will sit out two games after he punched Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb following Monday Night Football.
The left tackle swung at Chubb after the two exchanged words during the Bills’ 37‑34 overtime win at SoFi Stadium.
Jackson was swapping jerseys with a teammate when Chubb spoke, then walked away; Jackson chased him and delivered a blow that sent the linebacker’s hat flying.
The league labeled the hit as unsportsmanlike conduct in its official release.
Rams coach Sean McVay said Jackson will miss the Arizona and Las Vegas games, and he’ll appeal; for my money, losing Jackson weakens the line.
McVay added, “We have to make better choices. I’ve spoken with him, and we’ll handle this internally. I want the full picture, not to condone, but to gather facts.”
Veteran David Quessenberry steps in at left tackle. The 36‑year‑old has logged just 128 snaps in the past two seasons and hasn’t started since 2023.
49ers’ Greenlaw suspended one game for headbutt. Will the 49ers’ defense stay resilient without him?
San Francisco’s linebacker Dre Greenlaw also drew a one‑game suspension after he head‑butted Seattle’s Ernest Jones IV following a late hit on the Seahawks’ sideline.
Greenlaw will sit out the 49ers’ Monday night clash with Washington.
