Former Haas boss Guenther Steiner slammed Norris’s Singapore sprint crash, calling it far from a world‑champion move.
On the final lap, Norris tried to dive inside teammate Oscar Piastri while running fourth and fifth, but the maneuver clipped Piastri and spun both cars.
Piastri retired, whereas Norris limped to eighth, netting a solitary point.
Steiner said on The Red Flags Podcast, “You really shouldn’t be doing this. It wasn’t a world‑champion move.”
For my money, Steiner’s criticism hits the mark.
He praised McLaren principal Andrea Stella, saying the Italian handled the drama well and made Norris feel like a w***er, explaining the mistake wasn’t political and that Norris eventually admitted it was stupid.

Crashing into a teammate happens, but Norris’s reaction wasn’t typical of him; he realized he’d gotten a bit cocky.
Initially Norris claimed a big gap gave him the right to dive, but he later issued an apology.
He told F1.com, “I shouldn’t have tried that at all, even if the move was on.”
He added he must think of the team before himself, called it his mistake, said he let the squad down and promised to do better.
After the sprint’s lone point, the duo collected 22 points in the Grand Prix, finishing fourth and fifth.
We want your opinion! What’s next for McLaren?
