The loss brought some heat to head coach Mike McDaniel, who was asked to explain how the dolphins could perform so badly with the more open.
“The guys let the bells and whistles in week 1 get the best and they got some strong humility,” McDaniel said after the game. “We are a young team that goes through growing pain. That’s what the NFL is and what NFL does – it sometimes teaches you some difficult lessons.”
Although it was possible to look at a meeting of players as bribe only, Brooks pointed out that Dolphin’s players would have to come together only before losing confidence in themselves.
“When you lose like that, it’s easy for people to discourage. Start looking and interrogate yourself or others,” Brooks said. “So to make sure we all lock back in. Make sure faith is still there.
“If you lose faith, you have nothing. So make sure everyone is on the next page and comes back strong.”
Pass Rusher Chop Robinson believes Dolphins has the right stance this week.
“It’s been great, everyone is set in,” Robinson said. “Everyone is closed inside, interact with each other, just everything. Everyone is just forgetting the past and continuing to try to be better than last week, for sure.”
The dolphins will try to do it as of Sunday, when they host 0-1 patriots at Hard Rock Stadium.
