Reed pulled 39 meters with just over 11 minutes to play in the starting quarter and hit hard on his right side where the weight of Quan Martin, the boss, came down to him. Adding an insult to the injury was that the play was rejected with a penalty.
Reed clearly made his way to the locker room and was later excluded.
Officially, Reed had no statistics on a shorter outing on Thursday and had three catches in 45 meters and a week 1 against Detroit Lions.
Tap Reed, 25, is big on its own but mixes Packers’ injuries in the WR room. The team is already without Christian Watson, who returns from ACL Tear, which occurred in week 18 last season.
In the absence of Reed on Thursday, Tucker was Kraft, the team’s leader with six catches in 124 meters and contact. Dontayvion Wicks was the leading broad receiver of the team with four catches in 44 meters and Matthew Golden in the first half went without catch on two targets.
The packages are 2-0, but they will be without reed for at least the next six weeks.
