Prior to his time with the Eagles, Parker served as the defensive backs coach for the Green Bay Packers from 2019-2020 and the defensive backs coach for the Denver Broncos from 2021-23.
Parker’s secondary has been a strength in the Eagles’ top-five scoring defense in both of his years there. Philadelphia ranked first in yards allowed in 2024 while giving up 22 touchdowns in the air, sixth most in the NFL, and last season finished eighth in yards allowed and first in passing TDs given up (14).
That’s a huge difference from Dallas, which was the league’s worst defense in yards allowed and surrendered a whopping 35 TD passes (31st) in 2025. The entire operation needs a facelift after finishing 32nd and 30th in points and yards allowed, respectively, which led to the firing of defensive backs coach Eberflu’s postseason.
Now, in comes Parker, an up-and-coming defensive mind who steps across the league corridor to straighten out the Cowboys’ erratic defense.
