One of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, Kyle Juszczyk of the San Francisco 49ers, has been rubbing shoulder pads with tight ends quite a bit lately.
So, is he a quarterback or a tight end?
Well, as Juszczyk explained, his paycheck certainly says he’s a quarterback.
“Am I tight? Am I not tight? I don’t know. That’s a great question,” Juszczyk recently said of the 2026 American Century Championship golf tournament in an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco. “Unfortunately, I think I’m tight but not at the wrong times. I’m a defender when it comes to negotiations, which hurts, but then I’m tight on game day.”
At least this offseason, Juszczyk has lived the tight high life. The 10-time Pro Bowler — at quarterback — was invited to the annual Tight End College, which is run by teammate George Kittle, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Greg Olsen, a color specialist who was a 14-year NFL vet with three Pro Bowl selections.
More impressive than that, Juszczyk and wife Kristin scored an invite to the social event of the year – Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Juszczyk’s wife, a designer, created a memorable coat jacket for Swift that resembled a Kelce jersey.
The two-time All-Pro acknowledged that he signed a nondisclosure agreement related to the Swift-Kelce act. However, he was able to give a good review of the evening.
“All I can say is it was such an amazing time,” said the 13-year NFL veteran. “It was so much fun. It was so much genuine love and just fun and passion there, we just had the best time.”
