Back to Miami hopes minkah Fitzpatrick to secure a long -term contract with Dolphins

“Certainly. As I said earlier, I am very fond of energy and strategy that this goes,” said Fitzpatrick. “I think the culture of this locker room is the one who wants to work and work now, but it’s also something I want to earn. I know it was reported that I wanted to get a new contract, but I just wanted to know that I was going to be here for more than a period and I got it.

“And now I’m going to go there, play All-PRO, Pro Bowl points and hopefully earn the respect of my teammates and the association to have this long-term contract.”

Fitzpatrick approved a revised contract this weekend, which added $ 16.2 million to the signing bonus to its current contract by converting basic salary into instant cash and handed over the elder by moving $ 2 million in 2026 to 2025. Dolphins forward.

Fitzpatrick will be 29 years old in November, which means it is in a row for one big extension of the timeline of the career. He wants to sign such an agreement with Dolphins, an association led by individuals (Chris Gria’s Secretary General and coach Mike McDaniel), which Fitzpatrick believes.

“I think it’s a standard that Mike and Grier are trying to put and I think it’s working hard, being disciplined, being committed to this team, depriving yourself of the ego,” said Fitzpatrick on Monday. “This is a very egged sport and I think the best teams are the teams that remove the ego, let down the mask and the pride and play the work of football, win team football-fracture, defense, special teams-the messages they sent to the team. It’s the same message they sent me.”

Fitzpatrick’s tone is harshly different from the one he left Miami with again in 2019. Maybe his time in Pittsburgh gave him the experience he needed to better appreciate his seat on his NFL career – one he is happy to call Miami.

“I’m very excited. It’s very nostalgic,” he said. “We played here two seasons ago and I remember picked up the stadium and walking on the field. I felt like I was back in time and now it’s the same feeling, just being back down.

This time, Fitzpatrick’s intention is another. He is fully investing in helping the dolphins achieve his goals.
