Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 schedule – complete list of matches

The Indian cricket team face arch-rivals Pakistan on October 6 at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024scheduled in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the draw, groups and all Women’s World Cup T20 Schedule 2024 on Sunday.

The top ten women’s cricket teams from around the world will compete for this year’s title.

Both India and Pakistan have been drawn in Group A with six-time winners and reigning Women’s T20 World Cup holders Australia, New Zealand and Qualifier 1. Hosts Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies are joined in Qualifier 2 in B- group .

Group B: Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, Qualifier 2

Qualifiers 1 and 2 will emerge from the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The top two teams from the tournament that reach the final on May 7 will claim the last two spots in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.

As for the main T20 Women’s World Cup, all Group A matches will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet while Group B matches will be played at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

The top two teams from the two groups will advance to the semi-finals scheduled for May 17 and 18. The Women’s T20 World Cup final will be held at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on October 20.

South Africa, ranked second in the last edition, will face England in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 opener on October 3. India will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 4 and host reigning champions Australia on October 13.

India reached the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 held in Australia but lost the final to the hosts. Last year, Harmanpreet Kaur and Co lost in the semi-finals to Australia again.

A total of 23 matches will be played during the 18 days of the tournament.
