Sunday will mark Brosmer’s first career start and his first since completing 3-of-4 passes in a late relief performance for then-Vikings starter Carson Wentz in an Oct. 23 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Brosmer set a school record with 268 completions last season at the University of Minnesota and was a highly regarded UDFA prospect after the 2025 NFL Draft. Brosmer became Minnesota’s No. 2 QB when Wentz underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in late October.
Week 13 will also mark the six games McCarthy has missed on the season as he previously sat out five of our games due to an early season ankle injury.
