Despite the feeling that nothing is official until the opening snap on Sunday, Lamar Jackson is cleared to start for Baltimore against Buffalo after missing three games with a high‑ankle sprain.
Joe Brady told reporters Friday he isn’t banking on a watered‑down version of the two‑time MVP, and for my money his confidence is well‑placed.
He’s ready to go, Brady said via Terrin Waack of The Buffalo News. “No one is perfectly healthy in the NFL right now. We expect the best version of Lamar Jackson, and that promises great football.”
Jackson has faced Buffalo five times in the regular season, posting a 3‑2 record. He’s completed 67% for 678 yards, tossed eight touchdowns and three interceptions, and added 276 rushing yards on 41 carries with two scores.
Across four games this year, he’s been 70.8% efficient, throwing for 967 yards, six touchdowns and a single interception.
