Jefferson, Addison Questionable as Vikings Face Saints

Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison questionable for Sunday vs. SaintsThe Vikings may or may not have their top two receivers when they play the Saints on Sunday.

The Vikings could be without their two leading wideouts Sunday.

Justin Jefferson (ankle) and Jordan Addison (hamstring) are both marked questionable.

Jefferson saw limited reps all week, whereas Addison missed Wednesday’s practice and was restricted Thursday and Friday.

With Odell Beckham Jr. now on the practice squad, Minnesota can promote him if either starter sits, but he’ll likely stay inactive if both play. In my view, Jefferson remains the Vikings’ most dangerous weapon.

We’re still sorting out what that looks like, O’Connell said Friday. He added that the decision on Jefferson and Addison will come tomorrow based on Sunday’s outlook.

He emphasized that the entire receiver group — from rostered players to practice squad — is ready for any scenario.

Tackle Christian Darrisaw (concussion) and cornerback Charles Demmings (hamstring) are sidelined.

Offensive tackle Brian O’Neill (knee), center Michael Jurgens (elbow) and tight end Ben Yurosek (ankle) are listed as questionable.

Punter Brett Thorson (hamstring) returns to the roster, cleared from the injury report and set to kick. Will his return give Minnesota an edge in the special teams battle?
