In 2024, the Dolphins defense under Weaver ranked in the top 10 in points and yards allowed before falling back to 24th and 22nd, respectively, in those categories in 2025.
The Ravens defense allowed the fewest points in the NFL in 2023 with Weaver on staff. It remained a solid unit in 2024, even if it wasn’t as dominant statistically, before falling off last season, ranking 18th and 24th, respectively, in points and yards allowed.
Weaver was a second-round pick of the Ravens in 2002 and started 54 of his 57 games as a defensive end with the club over four seasons. He spent three more seasons playing with the Houston Texans after that.
Weaver is Baltimore’s second coordinator hire in the past week. The Ravens officially hired former Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle as their new OC on Monday.
