Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay is traveling separately from the team to Arizona for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals due to an illness, a team spokesman said.
McVay is expected to be available to coach Sunday’s NFC West tilt, a team spokesman added.

Speaking to reporters Friday, McVay said he doesn’t expect wide receiver Tutu Atwell (hamstring) to be activated for Sunday’s game.
The Rams (9-3) sit comfortably as the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs heading into Week 14 on Sunday. According to Next Generation Statistics, the Rams have the highest percentage (35%) to earn the No. 1 seed.
McVay and the Rams host the Cardinals (3-9) at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday.
