Janocko, 37, began his NFL coaching career as an offensive assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-2013. After that, he took on various assistant offensive roles for the Vikings, with Kubiak serving as quarterback (2019-2020) and finally offensive coordinator in 2021, which was the last year for both in the Twin Cities. After two years as the Chicago Bears QBs coach, Janocko rejoined Kubiak for his one-year stints as the Saints’ and Bears’ OC in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
It is therefore unlikely that it will take long to board Janocko to Kubiak’s staff.
The Seahawks were third in the league in scoring during their Super Bowl run.
Now, Kubiak and Janocko will aim to significantly improve a Raiders offense that was the worst in the league in 2025, finishing last in scoring and yards.
Bottom line, the new Raiders coaching staff is taking shape, and so far, it looks a little like the one that led the Seahawks to a World Series.
