When two games remain in the season, the very highly announced, if not a key camp competition between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones, has not yet produced leaders.
Colts coach Shane Steichen hopes he will find a closing answer on the matter soon.
“We will work through it,” Steichen said on Thursday, mentioning week 1 boot through the team’s official page. “We had today, we got a season for a season (Saturday), we have some exercises next week and we will work through it. I don’t have a detailed timetable about it, but sooner or later it would be fun.”
The fight landed in an unexpected twist last weekend when Richardson took his hand hard while fired by Baltimore player David Ojabo, released his right finger and forced him out of the remainder of the race. Richardson was able to return to practice and avoid missing a decisive representative, but neither he nor Jones have separated from the others in the race. They have continued to practice representatives, even though Richardson’s injuries have kidnapped him from games.
Jones produced a mixed bag of outing the 24-16 loss to Ravens and finished 10 of 21 consignments in 144 meters but reminded people of their contradictional existence as NFL team manager. With low clarity, the Colts hope the game on Saturday against Packers in Indianapolis will be successful enough to make a leader.
