For the first time in recent memory, Raiders are entering a new era with legitimate optimism.
It’s hard not to be excited to go to work when Pete Carroll is your coach. But for all good vibes and energy around the Raiders, one used elder warned of one defensive method that could be a little too ambitious or distracted.
George Knyrs, Niners All-PRO, told reporters on Thursday of an interesting example where the raiders raised a four-hour pro bowl edge of Rusher Maxx Crosby head up over kittle, actually given the edge containing with the selected ranking. The play yielded great benefits on the ground and annoyed Knylle enough to name it afterwards.
“I’m not Raiders defense, but Maxx Crosby in a four-point stance in six technologies takes a lot of me and (the right tackling of Colton McKivitz), where I can just run through his shoulder outside and McKivitz can just eat it up to another level,” KnyTle said through Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I take it every day of the week.”
Earlier at the media meeting, Kittle was very free for Raiders when they packed common practices with 49ers ahead of their Saturday meeting. But he couldn’t help but notice that Selection of Secretary of Defense Patrick Graham on that particular play was not too sensible – and more important, did not maximize Crosby’s talent as Elite Edge Rusher.
“They fly around and celebrate each other,” Klle said. “This is Pete Carroll team. That’s what they do. I like Vibe here. Let Maxx Crosby be Maxx Crosby and they’re going to have a great year.”
