Ravens TE Mark Andrews agrees to three-year, $39.3M contract extension

Ravens TE Mark Andrews agrees to three-year, $39.3M contract extension

Thanks to the impending end of his contract, Andrews had been the subject of Ravens press coverage for nearly a year. He was seen as both a cut-throat candidate for salary cap savings and a trade block in proposed offseason deals, and his name floated again in trade rumors as Baltimore battled out of the gate in 2025.

In the end, the Ravens weren’t going to let him leave Charm City. With the extension, Baltimore locked Andrews — owner of three Pro Bowl nods, one All-Pro honor, 473 career receptions, 5,862 yards and 56 receiving touchdowns in eight seasons — to a contract that suggests he could opt out of the team that selected him in the third round of the 2018 draft out of Oklahoma.

After setting a franchise record for receptions in Week 11, it’s fitting that he’s spared a period of uncertainty in exchange for safety with the team he’s helped propel to success since his rookie season.

His classmate, quarterback Lamar Jackson, is probably glad to learn that his favorite target is staying home. What that means for Baltimore’s other (younger) offensive tackle Isaiah Likely and his expiring contract remains to be seen.
