Ravens Rb Derrick Henry 'still angry' by third fumble in three weeks: 'It's testing my faith'

After three weeks, Baltimore Ravens 1-2, have lost both games against Elite opponents and have been involved in the issue of a star with a star who runs Derrick Henry again.

Deadline is not close. After losing to Detroit at home, Ravens landed on the road for a date with defender AFC champions in Kansas City. It is little time for Henry to correct his fumbling problem before returning to the field in another big game.

“I’m still angry, mad at myself,” Henry said on Wednesday through the official page of the team. “I do not try to harden it too much. At the same time, it is a problem that needs to be fixed. I am working on it as difficult as I can to solve this issue. It’s difficult now because there are weeks in a row – back back, which is crazy.

“No one can fix it except yourself. I agree with it like a man. All that comes with it, I sign it. It’s my responsibility to take care of the ball for this organization. It’s my faith now. I just have to keep believing and keeping working. I feel like I let go of my teammates.”

Long known as a model consistency, Henry remains devastating, explosive and downright frightening back as the first biggest concern was to overcome defense boxes that were loaded solely to stop him. This recent development, however, has given Ravens a reason to leave him at key times.

In Monday night, Henry had only got three second half and seemed to leave Baltimore’s offensive game schedule just before they decided to return to him in the fourth quarter. In his next attempt, Lions Edge Rusher Aidan Hutchinson chills the ball from behind Henry for his third Fumble in just three weeks and gave the ball right back to Detroit.

Henry was visibly dissatisfied on the sidelines, an understandable reaction to running back with a history of reliability. Over 683 touches (from the 2nd week of 2022 period at the end of the 2024 campaign), Henry only threw three times.

He has released as many times in only 43 contact this season.
