Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has received the green light to participate in training camp after a knee injury last year, according to head coach Andy Reid.
Reid has announced that the team will closely monitor Mahomes’ progress on a daily basis as he returns to action.
Last December’s ACL injury to Mahomes in Week 15 sent the Chiefs crashing out of the postseason for the first time since 2014, a setback the team is eager to recover from.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice has also overcome a hurdle, clearing the way for him to join the team at training camp.
