While the Las Vegas Raiders are mired in last place in the AFC West with just two wins through seven weeks, quarterback Maxx Crosby isn’t looking to move on and neither is the franchise.
The Raiders and Crosby met with the team on Tuesday and said they were not trading him nor would they trade him, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero and NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported. Crosby has no desire to be messed with either.
It’s no surprise that teams are interested in Crosby, but he’s not going anywhere, Pelissero and Slater added.
The 28-year-old Crosby is considered one of the game’s elite pass rushers, evidenced by his four Pro Bowl selections and 63.5 career sacks since the Raiders struck gold when they took him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Crosby’s had double-digit sacks in three seasons so far and has produced four in 2025 along with 28 tackles, five passes defensed and his first career interception.
In March, Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension.
Pete Carroll is Crosby’s fourth full-time head coach in seven years with the Raiders.
Since Crosby arrived in silver and black, consistency has been difficult to find when it comes to management, although his play has been outstanding on a yearly basis. He’s only experienced one winning season and one playoff berth, but Crosby is clearly committed to the Raiders and they to him, even through a tumultuous season.
