All the losses in New York built up for defensive end Quinnen Williams, whose six-plus seasons with the Jets did not include a single winning campaign.
After Tuesday’s trade with the Cowboys, the three-time Pro Bowler didn’t hide his frustration over the loss. He’s ready to finally start working in Dallas.
“As a super competitor, I think anybody that’s going through many, many losses like I was going through, there’s going to be frustration,” he said Wednesday, via the Dallas Morning News . “I know guys who go their whole lives and they lose one game, they’re frustrated. So of course I was frustrated, but the relationship I had [coach Aaron Glenn]the relationship with GM Darren [Mougey]there, man, there are still great relationships. They knew I was frustrated. I think the world knew I was frustrated to be there so long and still losing.”
In Williams’ six full seasons in New York, the Jets never managed more than seven wins in a single campaign. From 2019 to 2024, Gang Green went 32-68. The Jets are 1-7 to open 2025 and began the fire sale on Tuesday, trading stars Williams and Sauce Gardner for a slew of picks.
