With the Cardinals in 2025, Gannon was fired after a 3-14 season in which starter Kyler Murray missed most of the season with a foot injury. Backup QB Jacoby Brissett filled in Murray’s absence and played well enough to keep the Cardinals in games at times this season.
Gannon eventually finished his Cardinals tenure with a 15-36 record in three seasons in Arizona.
Prior to being the Cardinals’ head coach, Gannon served as the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator for two seasons, leading Philly’s defense to Super Bowl LVII. In his two years as the Eagles DC, Philly’s unit had 70 sacks in one season.
Now, LaFleur and the Packers will hope that Gannon can replicate his defensive success in Green Bay in the years to come.
